 "The harmony of sense in war, is an enigma, yet, wonderous to behold."

 MAP TOPOGRAPHY:
 ============

 The AlphaFive battlemap has high, steady, winds, and some thermal vents for war. Good metal values were used, along with normal gravity.

 Meticulous use of the "void height" tool has been used on the platform facings. The ramps, as created by C_A_P was excellent for this battlemap, and no changes was necessary.

 Everything on this battlemap has been gone over and re-checked for accuracy and quality. There was a lot of subtle modifications and excessive testing done for the maximum wargame potential.

 COMBINATION TILE SETS USED:

 C_A_P's Metalworld Water tilesets, metal features, and Oxygen features. The layout is designed to maximize the usage of the AI's in Skirmish Mode, as well as Multiplayer use.

 I made the entire battlemap as a "metal map" even though you will note that the "Desert Moon" tileset was used in the middle. I utilized this tileset due to the visual effect it had in conjunction with C_A_P's metal tiles, and should be treated as a "metal battlemap" for this one.

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
 ============

 For this battlemap, and all other metal tileset battlemaps you create, I have created the new "AlphaAttackAI" for your use. You'll be surprised with this one. It has a careful blend of both offensive and defensive capabilities, and the longer the wargame continues, the stronger it becomes. To see its full potential, go against 9 computer AI's in Skirmish Mode, and work like heck to develop an impenetrable base, and I mean, impenetrable. You have no concept of what you'll be hit with with this AI, especially near the end. If your defenses are weak, you'll be slaughtered. It is a simple as that. It is non-cheating, but very sophisticated, and develops powerfully. It is constantly in the attack mode. It is rated for 500 Cavedog units or higher (ie.: new 1k and the 5k settings). As I never use third party units, I cannot tell you what this AI will do with them, nor was provision made to include them.

 It is a blast to watch it in action in "permament view" in Skirmish Setting as you go against 9 Computer AI's. When you get a chance, look at the massive carnage and wreckage you'll find all over this battlemap. It is awesome for the amount of damage that can be done. The "body count" gets higher as more units are thrown into the fray as the wargame develops. Your scoring should be high with this one.

 The "AlphaAttackAI" is used for medium to large metal battlemaps with good resources. It is not a naval nor hover ai. It thrives on "rushing" scenarios, and will hold its own. I have not yet tested this one on a small battlemap the newbies are wanting to create, but was developed so you can enjoy a quality wargame over a good period of time. Even with Multiplayer use, it is a formidable foe.

 The AlphaFive battlemap has three levels of playing settings: Network/Hard, Medium, and Easy with their own AI's in Skirmish mode. This is an excellent battlemaps for Multiplayer use by groups and clans.

 Execute the "AI.zip" and put in your C:\Cavedog\Totala\AI file the following AI's:

AlphaAttackAI.txt
AiLaHo Advanced AI.txt
H A L - Multiversal War AI.txt

 Place the additional .ufo and .ccx files from the "Totala.zip" file into your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory, along with the "AlphaFive.ufo" file.

 I do recommend you get the 500 unit patch at TAMEC, and the 5k patch. One note concerning the 5k patch, when installed, do click on the "patch.bat" found in your your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory. I have discovered the the 500 unit patch works well with the NO CD program (found at TAMEC), but the 5k patch does require you to use the Total Annihilation CD for use. You will push the limits of the 500 unit patch to annihilate your opponents. The 5k patch with 5000 units is for exceptionally fast systems.

 You must have, in your C:\Cavedog\Totala directory, either The Core Contingency or Battle Tactics expansion packs installed in order to use this battle map.

 Final Note and piece of advice. Real estate in the center is a premium, and a high risk venture. Be sure you know what you are doing before possessing that area. If you don't, you'll lose everything is a very short time.
