This metal and water map was created with Cavedog's TAE and is one of the maps
produced by The Games Clinic for our own weekend multiplayer LAN parties. It is a standard
4-corner symmetrical metal map with a large central lake and some islands.
Some metal walls afford some protection to the bases in each corner from landwards.
Possession of the central island "Metal X" has been found to be crucial, and is always
bitterly contested between players. A player building a Bertha or Intimidator on this
island can fire into the other players bases!

There is sufficient land surface for a ground battle, and there is enough water to get
the big ships into action. Readily available energy and metal means that the action
can soon be underway.

The map has been played extensively at the Games Clinic with 4 players FFA,
4 players in two teams, 8 players in 4 teams, and 8 players in 2 teams.

Revision history:

v1.0 first release.
v1.1 Walls "voided" to prevent thuds from climbing over them.
	Arm players had complained!
v1.2	4 small islands added at the mouth of each harbour, for gun platforms etc.
v1.3	Removed 2 wide wall plateaux near each corner so that 1 player vs computer
AI opponents played better. A standard wall was substituted. The silly AI
would sometimes build on a plateau and be unable to extricate iself.

Thanks to:

Cavedog, without whom none of this would be possible.
Tamec, an excellent map resource centre, and the authors of the many maps that we have
downloaded from there. Especially to CAP and FRED, whose maps and tilesets are
superlative.
All the 3rd party developers who have provided TA units and utilities
for the enjoyment of others.

Comments from the Games Clinic:

This map is devoid of eye candy and reclaimables to preserve maximum memory and resources.
It is symmetrical and appears bland and unimaginitive. Nonetheless, we think that you will
enjoy a good game from this map, both against human opponents and against the computer.
If playing against the computer, try playing vs 3 allied AI, on "hard" level. This will
provide an entertaining, if busy, evening.
When setting up the map for a LAN game, note that players 1 & 5 start at top left,
2 and 6 bottom right, 3 and 7 bottom left, 4 and 8 top right.
