                             ----> Micro-TA-Machines <----

   Well Hi,
By this time you may have noticed that this is not your run of the mill TA map
nope not by a long shot. Its one for the imagination and inspiration of all, simply put
its a what if.

				****} Setting {****

	What if.......

TA had been created as a board game, much like "Axis and Allies" or Risk?? what
could it have looked like?

Have you ever imagined or wondered if while your away from your toys if they come
to life? (A-la Toy Story, well if your were a child like me you definitely imagined they
did) So the theme here is, "While the gamers are away the Commanders shall play! ;>"

				****}The New Play}****
This could be a new way to play TA, or you just might have to addopt new tactics
to deal with the strange enviornment.

First it should be noted that all players 1-8 start along the NSEW the compass
points of the map on the greenplanet play board.

   What this map features;

	1. your enemy's base/start positions are withing reach of the berthas but
those across from you are beyond reach.

	2. yes you can go offboard at any point but its considered to be slightly rude
           and sneaky.

        3. Its also not nice to raid the resource bins for stuff not in play ;P

	4. Aircraft have space to move around behind your base/start positions to set up
           attacks.

        5. This map has reasonable speed on 32 Meg machines at more then 300 units.

	6. Mostly new tiles.

	7. Oh and beware of the forests, they can hide your enemy in large numbers,
so burnem out if you feel the need. (Remember massive forest fires may
cause lag in game with large numbers of units in play)

Installation:
1) Make a subdirectory: \maps. For example, if Total Annihilation is in
                        C:\cavedog\totala, then make a subdirectory,
                        c:\cavedog\totala\maps

2) Uncompress the zip using Winzip or another util, and when prompted for a
destination directory, extract all files to "c:\cavedog\totala\maps", or whatever path
you created in step one might have been.

3) Bingo done!

4) Now go play.

Notes on the Past.. & Future...

This is just the beginning, future worlds to come.

Hope you like it, have fun, and remember the sneaky may win but the..... ;>
