Map Name: Quadrants

Map Type: Custom, well just a bunch of tilesets thrown into one.

Map Size: 20x20

Memory: 64mb+ (I suggest 192 mb minimum!)

Authors: Captain Maim & Okram2000

Description: A smorgesboard of several tilesets thrown into a 20x20 area, it is "The biggest 20x20 you will ever play on" because it feals more like a 30x30 map rather than 20x20. There are four main quadrants, which are Urban, Lunar, Metal, and Green. Green is the main transition, while Ice was used to transist from green to lunar, and Lush was used to transist from green to metal

Quadrant descriptions:

Quadrant 1... Urban. This Arm city was founded a couple thousand years ago by a group of Arm colonists. Many Arm heros have been bread in this city, two of which have become commanders and fought bravely to protect from the Core. However civilians where evacuated as soon as the Core entered the system, and the city has taken large amounts of damage throughout the war that has ensued on this ravaged planet. Urban is the only place on the map with any sort of water. It the remains of two arm bases, as well as the remains of a Core attack on the quadrant. The major base is on an island with bridges that connect it to the rest of the city. In the lake the remenants of an Arm navy can be seen. Tactically Urban is the safest from LRPC, and can give quick metal through extraction.

Quadrant 2... Lunar. The atmosphere above what is now Lunar was whiped away eons ago from a spacial bombardment from Core forces. It was once Arm's largest naval base, now it is littered with hundreds of corpses everywhere. It resembles more along the lines of Dump than any other kind of place. Recently Core forces have entrenched into dump and set up a wall to keep Arm forces out, and take advantage of the many wrecks left there, however soon after the Arm launced a volley of nukes back at the Core, just adding to the wreckage. Tactical advantages, with the introduction of the necro and it's resurecting cababilities, Core has a very big advantage, being able to resurect a gigantic army in a short amount of time. Also, dump has a wall of DT around it, allowing easy defencability.

Quadrant 3... Metal. When Core forces landed on the planet, they beat back the Arm forces quickly, and started to armor the planet to give them an even greater advantage over the Arm forces. However, what they did not realize is that their flat land offers no cover from LRPC's and they where pushed back, even on their own metal surface. Without constant upkeep, and the uncontrolable weather of the planet, Metal has started to rust away, nature it's self is fighting back the Core's corruption to it's world, as plants start growing out onto the Metal surface. Tactical advantages, the metal surface allows for a large amount of raw extraction, however it is very difficult to defend, unless defending from the quadrant's borders.

Quadrant 4... Green. Just south of the large Arm city, and just west of the extent of the Core's armoring process, is a vast mountain range, with large peaks, big mesas, and many passes running through it. Several times the Arm forces had to fall back to the mountains to ralley their forces and push back the Core. They fell back so often that they built a massive fortress that barely squezed into a valley. The base was so well defended that the Core sent hundreds of forces at the base, but where annihilated. They even managed to take one section of the fortress, but because of the design of the base, they where unable to move on to the next section of the fort. The Core set up a base on the largest mesa, and attemped to bombard the Arm base, however a group of Mavericks somehow managed to push their way into the base, and destroying it. Tactical advantages: By far, green is the most defendable position on the map, and is very hard to rush, or launch rushes from. However, it has very little metal patches, that are very spread out.

Inteligence report... In the center of the map, spies have discovered something strange, that is not viewable from the tactical display unless a unit is in the vicinity of the anomoly. Sensors indicate that it can be reclaimed, but it does not fallow the natural characteristics of reclaimable material. Further investigation is required at this time.
