Every map card in the archive carries a minimap — the small 252×252 preview
that Total Annihilation stores inside each map’s .tnt file. This week we
verified all 3,784 of them against that original data. Highlights:
- 57 minimaps were wrong — most showed random tile graphics instead of the map (an old extraction bug that hit multi-map packs hardest). All replaced with the real minimaps and re-verified. Zombieland Map Pack V2 was the showcase: a 9-map pack whose preview was pure noise.
- 29 download links pointed at renamed files and 7 cards (Stuey Map Pack, AFK4/AFK5 [V2], [NLJ] Maps Pack 2019, PRO10 [TP] Tourney, [DPRK] Crossroads & Impasse) had both broken downloads and broken preview images. All fixed and re-checked live.
- Downloads now save with clean filenames — your browser offers
Zombieland Map Pack V2.zipinstead ofgreybeard_Zombieland_Map_Pack_V2.zip. - Card titles with encoding leftovers (
%5bStuey%5d Map Pack) are cleaned up, and the map grid is fully English now. - The Zombieland pack card finally shows what’s inside: 9 maps from 18×18 to 31×31, including its V2 changelog.
The whole sweep started with a sharp-eyed bug report from Julien S., a French TA fan who spotted the broken zombie-map previews and sent a screenshot to prove it. Merci, Julien — eagle-eyed community reports like his are what keep this archive honest.
The extraction lessons from this audit are written up in the Knowledgebase → Map import pipeline.
